Data privacy statement concerning the use of LinkedIn Conversion-Tracking
We use the Retargeting Tool LinkedIn Conversion Tracking of LinkedIn Ireland, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland (»LinkedIn«). For this purpose, our website integrates the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which enables LinkedIn to collect statistical, pseudonymous data about your visit and use of our website, and to provide us with aggregated statistics on this basis. In addition, this information is used to show you specific and relevant offers and recommendations, after you have informed yourself on the website about certain services, information and offers. Social media buttons with data protection (Shariff)
Social plugins normally lead to every visitor to a page being recorded immediately by these services with their IP address and to their further activities on the Internet being logged. This happens even if the user does not click on one of the buttons.
To prevent this, audius.de uses the Shariff method. Our social media buttons establish direct contact between the social network and the visitor only if the latter actively clicks on the share button. If the user is already logged in to a social network, Facebook and Google+ do this without displaying another window. With Twitter, a popup window appears in which you can still edit the text of your tweet.
This allows users to post audius.de content on social networks without enabling complete browsing profiles to be created. With the Shariff method, audius.de takes the privacy interests of its visitors into account as far as possible using the current state-of-the-art technology. The Shariff method is already used by many websites to protect their users. The starting point was an initiative by heise.de, where you can find further information on the current status of the discussion.
